Sandra Auffarth and Quirici H unmatched in Falsterbo Grand Prix

Despite the Falsterbo Derby being cancelled on Saturday due to the heavy rainfall in Sweden, Sunday's Grand Prix still was on the schedule. The CSI5* 1m60 class had only two rider and horse pairs that managed to go clear in both rounds.

After the first round, the eleven best combinations were invited back for the finale. Sandra Auffarth (GER) delivered a second clear on Quirici H (Frh Quaid) and took home the victory. The only other pair who achieved this result was Ireland's Cian O'Connor aboard of Fancy de Kergane. With the nine years old stallion, O'Connor finished second. Abdel Saïd, riding for Belgium, didn't touch a single pole with Figueras de Laume but struggled in both rounds with the time allowed. A time fault in each round put the Belgian and his Kapitol d'Argonne mare in third place.

Giulia Martinengo (ITA) Marquet had a fast finale on Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe (Cesano 2) but their score on four from the first round left them on four. The top five was concluded by Kristaps Neretnieks (LAT), who was clear the first time around with Palladium Kjv (Falkenhof's Lancer).
