Steve awarded Sportsman of the Year

The Canton of Jura in Switzerland has honored its best athletes. Last Wednesday (March 8th, 2016) the awarding ceremony for the best Jurassic athletes in 2015, took place in Porrentruy. Sprinter Fanette Humair (FSG Bassecourt) and show jumper Steve Guerdat were crowned as Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year. The reigning show jumping Champion, jumped to victory in last year's FEI World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. Aboard  Albfuehren’s Paille (by. Kannan) he also won many other international classes. Also Guerdat's suspension by the FEI, was lifted. In September Swiss Jumping riders Steve Guerdat and Alessandra Bichsel, whose horses tested positive for Prohibited Substances earlier that year, have been cleared of any wrongdoing following separate legal agreements with the FEI.
