The 1.50m CSIO5* victory had a Belgian tint on the grass arena of Aachen! In the mecca of equestrian sports, Eugenio Garza Perez jumped to victory with the Zangersheide gelding, Victer Finn DH Z (breeder: De Dwerse Hagen)!
Together with Jos Verlooy's former ace, from the breeding of the Spits-Ceulemans family, the Mexican rider jumped to victory in this two-phase competition with over half a second difference. Richard Vogel followed in second place with the 10-year-old Cydello (Cascadello). Vogel had already won the 1.45m class earlier and this time relegated Ben Maher with the KWPN gelding Exit Remo (San Remo) to third place.
Just outside the top three was Rodrigo Pessoa with Dhalida (Diamant de Semilly) followed by McLain Ward and his 11-year-old First Lady (Don Diarado).
After his victory Garza Perez praised is long-time partner, Victer Finn. "He has been inconsistent with injuries, but he is the best horse I have ever had! He is amazing. I just need to thank him for everything!"
