Valentin Besnard wins the challenging CSI4* 1.55m class in Rouen

In Rouen, France, the main class of the day just took place. In this CSI4* Longines Ranking class the course was built over a height of 1.55m. It appeared to be a challenge to deliver a clear round in the first phase. Out of the 50 riders, only eight managed to qualify for the Jump-Off, of which only one rider managed to ride a double clear. That rider was Valentin Besnard and Beau Gosse du Park (by Quaprice Boimargot Quincy). The pair were the only ones who managed to stay clear in a time of 43.86 seconds.

For Belgium Gilles Thomas and Luna van het Dennehof (by Prince van de Wolfsakker) took home the silver ribbon in this 1.55m class. They rode the fastest time but saw a pole fall on the ground, which held them from the first place. Kevin Jochems claimed a third place in this four star class. With his gelding Emmerton (by Silvio), he crossed the finish line in 35.24 seconds. Unfortunately he saw one pole fall out of the rails and had to settle for bronze.

Places four and five were completely French. Gregory Cottard (Bibici) claimed fourth place and Cedric Huel (Fantasio Floreval Z) completed the top five.
