The second final of the day, for 6-year-old horses, was jumped in Lanaken. Again, the various combinations were presented a tough course in which the time allowed proved to be a problem for many riders. Nevertheless, eleven combinations managed to stay clear in the basic course. A jump off with eleven had to decide the winner. Philipp Weishaupt was the first to start with the Cornet Obolensky stallion Coros. They immediately succeeded in completing a fast round. They jumped a clear round in 33.77 seconds.
In the end, no combination was able to improve on the time. Angelique Rüsen came closest. The German rider with Crowny NW (by Crown Z) managed to keep all the rails in the bag; she stopped the chrono at 35.08 seconds, which was enough for second place. Virginie Thonon was the best Belgian performance. She rode Parequita V.H. (by Jamal vd Heffinck) clear through the course in 35.14 seconds.
Jason Foley (Calvador Z) and Arnaud Gaublommen (Chica VV Z) completed the top five.
