France's fourth rider Olivier Guillon and Lord de Theize were clear in the first round and did not have to come to start in the second round as they had already secured the win with a clear round from Jerome Hurel and Ohm de Ponthual in the second round.
Switzerland, who had the winning team in Linz, secured the second place with a total of four faults. Their team in Lummen consisted of Romain Duguet and Quorida de Treho, Martin Fuchs with Conte della Caccia, Carlo Pfyffer with Notre Moinerie and Andreas Ott aboard Loxy de la Reselle CH. After the top two it was a big jump down to the Netherlands in third place at 17 faults with Leon Thijssen andHaertthago, Roelof Bril riding Warwick, Peter Bulthuis and Atlanta and Henk van de Pol with Warrant. The hosting country, Belgium, ended on a sixth place after having a total of 21 points. Olympic Champion, Great-Britain, ended on the second-but-last place.
