Richard Howley and Zodiak du Buisson Z secure victory in CSI5* 1.50m Longines Ranking class at CHI Al Shaqab

In the CSI5* 1.50m Longines Ranking class at the prestigious CHI Al Shaqab in Doha, riders from around the world showcased their skills over a challenging course. Among them, Irish riders particularly stood out, claiming top spots in the competition.


Richard Howley (IRL) emerged victorious aboard Zodiak du Buisson Z, a 9-year-old grey gelding by VDL Zirocco Blue out of Dutch Capitol Z. Howley's precise riding and the horse's agility helped them secure the win with a faultless round in a time of 62.73 seconds. Simon Delestre (FRA) took second place riding Dexter Fontenis Z, a gelding by Diarado, going clear in 63.55 seconds, just fractions of a second behind the winner. Mark McAuley (IRL) finished third on GRS Lady Amaro (Amaretto D Arco), completing the course without fault in a time of 63.71 seconds.

Max Kühner (AUT) secured fourth place with EIC Julius Caesar (Couleur Rubin). Christian Ahlmann (GER) rounded out the top five riding Otterongo Alpha Z, a 10-year-old chestnut stallion by Darco.
