As many as three of the eight combinations in the jump-off of the CSI5*-W 1.55m Gothenburg Trophy were under the Dutch flag. One of them even managed to win the main event on Saturday. Willem Greve and the 12-year-old Highway TN N.O.P. won the main event on Saturday.
The audience in Gothenburg, Sweden, was treated to an extremely exciting jump-off in the CSI5*-W 1.55m class. Only three combinations could leave the jumps untouched in the shortened course. The top prize went to Willem Greve (NED). In the saddle of the Eldorado vd Zeshoek son, Greve clocked in at 34.08s.
Peder Fredricson (SWE) was surpassed in front of his own audience and finished second with Alcapone des Carmille. The offspring of Diamant de Semilly crossed the finish line in 34.51s. The bronze also went to Dutch hands and was for Kim Emmen (NED) with the 11-year-old KWPN gelding Inflame Go (Namelus R). Their time was noted at 37.05s.
Yuri Mansur (BRA) had the fastest time in the saddle of Vitiki (Valentino) but a jumping fault of the 16-year-old gelding left them with the fourth place. Dutchman Lars Kersten rounded off the top five with the 10-year-old stallion Funky Fred Marienshof Z, a Zangersheide son of Fantomas de Muze.
