Yesterday stars were out at Glorious Goodwood. This for the Magnolia Cup charity race. Eventually supermodel Edie Campbell narrowly denied eventer Tina Cook the spoils. Edie, who won the inaugural race in 2011, received her prize from Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who created quite the media frenzy in the paddock. Edie won the 6 race aboard the Ian Williams-trained See The Storm, who had also won a ladies’ race at Ascot last Saturday. The model was more nervous than ever this year. Olympic medallist Tina Cook, who won a charity race in 2012 at Cheltenham, finished second on Better Balance. The race was in aid of The Reading Agency, which is dedicated to aiding reading and literacy skills, and Best Beginnings, which breaks down inequalities in child health.
