Double World Champion from Sweden, Henrik von Eckermann, has been added to the shortlist for the FEI Awards 2022.
Von Eckermann, reigning number one of the world and winner of the individual and team gold at the World Championships in Herning, is one of the four nominees for the Peden Bloodstock FEI Best Athlete Award.
In the Longines FEI category for the Rising Star has Irish rider James Derwin been selected while Beezie Madden's long-time groom Sue Schlegel is shortlisted to become the FEI Best Groom.
The 20 shortlisted candidates in the different categories are from 15 countries and include real-life heroes such as World Champions, highly praised upcoming stars, grooms, inspirational equestrians, judges and charities. They all have been selected for their outstanding achievements in the field of play, inspirational outlook and unparalleled dedication to equestrian sport.
