Martin Fuchs, the current world number two, announces the sporting retirement of his top horse, Chaplin. The 16-year-old stallion is retiring from the sport but his genes will not be lost as he will be used in breeding.
Under the saddle of Fuchs, where the son of Verdi TN was for seven years, Chaplin won the World Cup Final in Leipzig just last year. Their joint palmares is large, including also winning the Lyon World Cup in 2021, the GCT Grand Prix in Madrid in 2019 and a lot of other prestigious competitions they put to their hand. Together, the duo accounted for over 1.1 million euros in prize money.
