Equiline and Nick Skelton produce new saddle

Nicholas David Skelton is a world-renowned show jumping rider whose career has spanned nearly 38 years, winning thousands of classes and hundreds of Grand Prix' events. He began riding at age 18 months and in 1974 and 1975 took two team silvers and an individual gold at the Junior European Championships. He has competed numerous times at the European Show Jumping Championships, winning three golds, three silvers and three bronzes both individually and with the British team over a 26-year time period. At the age of 54, Skelton won the Olympic gold medal as part of the winning Great Britain men's team. In 2013 he won the Grand Prix of Aachen with Big Star. After years of collaboration with Equiline Clothing Division, Nick Skelton has developed with the new born but already successful Equiline Saddle Division a new special saddle with special design and important technologies: the new Equiline Saddle Nick Skelton. The experience of a myth in the show jumping together with the craftsmanship of Equiline in the saddles’ production has been the perfect combination to develop this new saddle which has an unique target: care for the horse and a perfect comfort for the horse and the rider. The saddle is very lightweight and made in a very soft full-grain oiled calfskin originating from free- roaming animals. The tree is designed to adapt perfectly to the horse and to maintain the best seat for the rider. The seat is deeper and it enables the rider to feel a close-contact to the horse. Its cushioning inserts of the 28 July 2014 patented IGS Technology (Integrated Gel System) absorb vibrational shocks of the pelvic and coccygeal area, promote optimal posture and reduce muscle tension in the pelvic area. The extremely soft panels, with their anatomical shape, are free allowing free movement of the horse’s backbone and can be filled both in wool (Dracon) or be in a very soft synthetic material T- Flex. This new saddle, strictly Made in Italy, present an other important technology patented by Equiline: FGT (Flap Grip Technology) which consist in a very soft rubber insert on the bottom of the quarter which gives to the rider better grip and stability on the saddle, and at the same time reduces wear and tear near the leg area. NICK SKELTON IN INTERVIEW: “Nick, which features of the saddle Nick Skelton are so special?” “It is very comfortable, lightweight, super soft and fits perfectly your horse. My saddle is a perfect combination of comfort, technology, softness and design.” “Why would you recommend the saddle Nick Skelton?” “I suggest the Saddle Nick Skelton to all the riders who want to feel a close-contact to their horse and feel more in safety thanks to the Flap Grip Technology. I really hope all the riders will try my saddle and I really hope it will help many riders to become great champions!”
