This evening, the exciting fourth leg of the World Cup Driving was on the program in Sweden. As always, the drivers first had to complete a preliminary round, and the best three from that round earned a place in the drive-off, where the final battle for victory would be decided. After a thrilling first round, Boyd Exell, IJsbrand Chardon and Anna Sandmann qualified for the drive-off.
In the drive-off it was top favourite Boyd Exell (AUS) who raced past the competition. He recorded a time that was no less than 7 seconds faster than that of his closest rival, and he also made no mistakes, while his opponents did. That resulted in a total lead of almost 20 seconds.
IJsbrand Chardon followed in second place. He finished in 163.19 seconds but made 3 small errors. This brought the Dutchman to a total time of 175.19 seconds, which was still more than 14 seconds faster than the third time. German's Anna Sandmann also made three faults and finished with a total of 189.83 seconds, securing the bronze.
