The FEI World Cup™ Driving leg in Stuttgart once again proved why it is one of the most electrifying stops on the indoor driving circuit. With a packed arena, roaring crowds, and a course designed to test every ounce of skill, precision, and teamwork, the world’s best four-in-hand drivers delivered top-level sport. Tight rollback turns, technical obstacles, and the unforgiving pace of indoor competition pushed athletes and horses to their limits as they chased not only the fastest time, but also crucial points on the road to the prestigious World Cup Final. In this high-pressure atmosphere, every second, every stride, counted.
In front of a packed arena, Boyd Exell (AUS) once again proved why he remains the benchmark of the discipline. With an exceptional combination of speed, precision, and control, Exell secured a convincing win after a masterful drive-off, stopping the clock at 139.84 seconds. With this result, Exell remains undefeated this season, with 3 out of 3 wins.
Switzerland’s Jérôme Voutaz followed in second place with a strong performance in the drive-off. Known for his signature pace and agility, Voutaz delivered a competitive round, but his total time of 156.06 seconds left him just short of Exell’s unbeatable standard.
Rounding out the podium was Germany’s Anna Mareike Meier, who impressed the home crowd with a composed and technically sharp performance. Her final time of 171.38 seconds secured her third place and confirmed her growing strength on the World Cup circuit.
Just outside the top three, Germany’s Christoph Sandmann produced a solid first-round performance to take fourth place, while Belgium’s Glenn Geerts followed in fifth after an energetic and committed drive through the Stuttgart course. Fredrik Persson (SWE) and Anna Sandmann (GER) completed the line-up in sixth and seventh place respectively.
