The first CSI5*-W competition of the day was an exciting Table C speed class, where a jumping fault is penalised by adding 3 seconds to the pair's round time. Christa Jung's (GER) team set up 14 obstacles, at a height of 1.45m, for the 26 pairs. There were quite a few faults, but these were compensated for by very fast rounds, although the fastest round was still one without any faults.
No one could come close to Barbara Schnieper's lightning-fast time. Schnieper rode Judy KM, a daughter of Joly St. Hubert, around the course flawlessly in 56.18 seconds. Yuri Mansur and Vitiki (Valentino) also completed a fast, flawless round. With a time of 58.01 seconds, the duo finished in second place.
Third place went to Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida. The Portuguese rider managed to ride Solidat (Semper Fi) across the finish line in 56.99 seconds, but the duo had one jumping fault and thus finished with a total time of 59.99 seconds.
Sameh El Dahan stopped the clock at 58.03 seconds in the saddle of WKD Toronto (Tornesch) but finished in fourth place in 61.23 seconds as they also had a pole come down. Maximilian Weishaupt rode DSP Omerta Incipit (Levisonn) two tenths of a second slower than El Dahan. The pair also had one down and finished in fifth place in 61.23 seconds.
