Abdelkebir Ouaddar is king in the Saut Hermès Grand Palais

This afternoon the peak of the Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais in Paris, France attracted a big crowd under the magnificent glass ceiling. A total of 39 combinations took the start. Moroccon Abdelkebir Ouaddar tacked up his number one horse, riding to victory. The Diamant de Semilly-son Quickly de Kreisker had no problems with the 1.60m class. A total of 16 horse-rider combinations returned for the jump-off where only 6 pairs finished clear. Abdelkebir stopped the clock in 36.40 seconds, almost two seconds faster as the following pair. The first pair in the arena was Great-Britain's Laura Renwicj aboard Bintang II (by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve). However it was Dutch Maikel van der Vleuten and his Indoctro-daughter, VDL Groep Arera C who accomplished the first clear round. Last one to qualify for the jump-off was Moroccon Abdelkebbir Ouaddar who returned home with no less than 132,000 Euro after his win. Brash and the 10-year-old For Pleasure-son, Hello Forever finished their second round in 38.78 seconds. They were followed by Zangersheide's Christian Ahlmann and another For Pleasure-son, Epleaser van´t Heike. The top five was completed by Marcus Ehning with Pret a Tout in a fourth place and Martin Fuchs (Clooney 51) in fifth.
