Andres Rodriguez & Sophie Walker pass away after car crash

Venezuelan Show Jumper and Pan American silver medalist Andres Rodriguez (31) passed away after a car accident in Palm Beach, Florida in the early hours of this morning. His passenger Sophie Walker, an amateur rider, passed away at the scene and Rodriguez lost the battle a few hours later. A statement was posted on Rodriguez' official Facebook Page earlier today : "It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Andres Rodriguez and his passenger Sophie Walker suffered a tragic car accident on Monday morning in Wellington, Florida. Circumstances of the accident are still unclear. Sophie Walker passed away in the accident and despite all efforts Andres passed away a few hours later. We are lost for words. Our prayers and thoughts go to Sophie's family, to Andres' wife and family." Everyone at Equnews would like to offer our condolences to the Walker and Rodriguez families during this difficult time.
