The German stylist Marcus Ehning has announced on his website that the 12 year old stallion Cornado NRW (Cornet Obolensky x Acobat) is injured and will be out of competition for two months, as a result of this the wonder horse is likely to miss out on the European Championships in Aachen, Germany later this year. The statement from Ehning's website : "Unfortunately, our “Number 1″ in the stable, Cornado NRW, has sustained an acute bone bruise of the fetlock bone. Regretfully, that means the stallion will not be able to compete at shows for the next 2 months.
That also means that a participation of Cornado NRW at the European Championships in Aachen is unlikely. Our highest priority, however, is the recovery of the stallion, therefore we will only return him to competitions once he is completely healed."
This is some unfortunate news for Ehning and Team Germany, but we hope that Cornado recovers soon.
