CSI De Peelbergen: Belgians dominate evening class

In the Dutch 'Equestrian Centre De Peelbergen' a CSI2* competition is being organized this weekend. The last class of the evening was the 'Carpe Diem Prix', a class that was ridden against the clock. 154 combinations entered the show ring and of those combinations, the Belgian rider Arnaud Doem appeared to be the fastest. He speeded Hocus Pocus de Messitert (Quidam de Revel) to the finish line in 58,67 seconds. Second place went to Belgium as well. Dennis Caubergs jumped a clear round with Gassina de Bribous (Cabrio van de Heffinck) in 59,98 seconds. The Portuguese rider Rodrigo Almeida was the only one who could prevent an all-Belgian top three. He and Darek Od Ujzed (Quick Lauro Z) left the wood untouched and finished on third place. Fourth place went to Gudrun Patteet. She rode Sea Coast B52 F Z (Bamako du Muze) to the finish line in 60,40 seconds, reassuring themselves of the fourth place. Clementine Goutal completed the top five with Tixie des Hayettes (Opium de Talma). This American combination jumped a clear round in 61,09 seconds. Click here for the results
