CSI Stockholm: victories for Whitaker and Gaudiano in opening classes

The Swedish Stockholm is getting ready for an international 4* competition this weekend. Today the classes didn't have so many starters, but all of the riders that did start, were part of the top of the world. In the 1,45m class in two phases, the victory went to the living legend John Whitaker. With his partner in crime, the 14-year old stallion Argento (f. Arko III) he jumped a clear round in 35,57 seconds. With this time he beat the Swedish Angelie von Essen who ended on second place with Newton 2 seconds. The third place went to the young Belgian rider Olivier Philippaerts. He rode the Darco son Forever D'Arco Ter Linden in 37,18 seconds to the finish line. The top five was completed by Milan Baryard-Johnsson and H&M Cue Channa (f. Cardent) and Douglas Lindelöw and Zacramento (f. Cardentot). They crossed the finish line in respectively 37,74 and 38,36 seconds. Earlier today a 1,40m class was ridden. In this class, the victory went to the Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano. With Inca's Big Think (f. Beaulieu's Think Big) he finished in 27,73 seconds. Johan-Sebastian Gullisken ended on second place with Charleville (f. Quasimodo Z). Peder Fredricson completed the top three with H&M Carat Desire (f. Carinjo). They jumped a clear round in 28,72 seconds. Marlin Baryard-Johnsson (H&m Second Chance) and John Whitaker (Echo Of Light) ended on fourth and fifth place. Click here for the results
