Schwizer wins Grand Prix qualifier at Milano Winter Show

In Milano, Italy, the Grand Prix qualifier was the highlight of today. It was a 1,45-1,50m ridden against the clock. 89 combinations entered the show ring and it was very clear that it were the Swiss riders who ruled the show. The victory went to Pius Schwizer. He rode the 10-year old gelding Leonard De La Ferma CH (f. Landjuweel) in 61,89 seconds to the finish line. This combination was more than three seconds faster than Fabio Crotta and the 9-year old Selle Français Tess de Jalesnes (f. Baloubet du Rouet). This combination jumped a clear round in 64,07 seconds. The third place went to Switzerland as well. Martin Fuchs and the KWPN stallion Chaplin (f. Verdi) finished in 64,42 seconds, leaving the wood untouched. The top five was completed by Werner Muff (Pollendr) and Ignace Philips (Hanna HD). Click here for the results
