Belgian star Gregory Wathelet has been on tremendous form this week at the 5* show in Zurich, Switzerland. Today he won a 1.40m class with an interesting twist, the top 15 riders in the world went head to head with young and junior riders. Wathelet took the lead and could not be caught, winning the class by almost two seconds faster than his closest rival. Aboard the 12 year old gelding Egano van het Slogenhof (Electro x Nagano), Wathelet took the win ahead of home rider Romain Duguet and Otello van Soleil, a 14 year old stallion by Papillon Rouge. German rider Marco Kutscher completed the podium with the 12 year old stallion Balermo (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio I), while Denis Lynch (IRL) and Chantal Muller (SUI) finished in fourth and fifth place respectively.
