David Simpson wins CSI2* Grand Prix in Oliva

In Oliva, the 1,45m Grand Prix was scheduled for this afternoon to conclude a busy international weekend. 77 combinations started in this class and they had to face a difficult first round: only 11 combinations kept the zero on the score board and came back for the jump-off. That jump-off was really exciting, but in the end it was David Simpson who took the victory with Chessy 17 (f. Cellestial). They jumped a clear round in 45,25 seconds. Second place went to the Swedish lady rider Nicole Holmén. With Cochella (f. Cartani) under the saddle, she rode a clear jump-off in 46,11 seconds. Luis Jesus Escobar completed the podium. Together with Conjurer, a 10-year old Cornado son, he jumped a clear jump-off in 46,39 seconds. Only the top three could keep the zero on the score board. Katharina Offel rode the fastest time with Umeunig (f. Untouchable Z), but a jumping penalty resulted in a fourth place. Constant Van Paesschen ended on fifth place with Astro Boy (f. Sarantos). They jumped a fast round as well, but Astro Boy hit one fence. Click here for the results
