In Waregem, the highlight of this weekend's CSI2* competition has just ended: the Grand Prix. 14 of the 45 riders managed to ride a clear first and and came back for the jump-off. A lot of Belgian riders were qualified for the jump-off so the hopes of the Belgian crowd were very high. Eventually it was one of those Belgian riders who could win it all! Koen Vereecke, who already won two classes this week, decided to to it all over today. With the BWP mare Jativia (f. Cardento) under the saddle, he jumped a clear round in 39,08 seconds.. A super fast time, while no other rider could even approach him. Gilles Thomas, who already won a class this morning, had to take peace with the second place in the Grand Prix. He took the SBS stallion Ducati Van Schuttershof (f. Kashmir Van Schutetrshof) out of his stable. He jumped a clear round in 42,19 seconds. Frederic Vernaet followed on third place. He rode Dauphine Van T&L (f. Toulon) to the finish line and finished in 42,27 seconds. Vincent Lambrecht ended on fourth place with Carlos Jd Z (f. Canturo).
