French victory in GP-qualifier Mostaganem

In Mostaganem, Algeria the second and last week of the Mostaganem Equestrian Tour started today. The day was finished with a CSI3* 1.45m class that counts for the Longines Ranking. 48 combinations started in this class against the clock. Victory was for the French rider Louis Bouhana with the ten year old gelding Shamrock du Niro (s. Wonderboy). They rode a super fast clear round in 67.98 seconds. No-one else came close to this time. Another French rider ended in second place. Benoit Desjeux came in second with the chestnut mare Sarcelle de Gys (s. Allegreto). They finished in 74.10 seconds. Spain's Leonardo Andres Pereyra ended in third place with Quisan Gran (s. Quidam's Rubin). For them we noted a clear round in 74.90 seconds. The top five was completed by Kevin Gauthier with Twist de la Butte (s. Muriesco du Cotentin SF) and José Thiry with Verdi vd Withoeve Z (s. Vigaro Z). They crossed the finish line in respectively 78.06 and 78.07 seconds. Last weekend there was a third place for Thiry and the ten year old Zangersheide gelding in the Grand Prix of Mostaganem.
