The Show Jumping Hall of Fame (SJHF) has announced the winners of the 2016 SJHF Jumper Classic Series for the East and West Conferences. The top east conference riders will have the opportunity to compete in the SHJF Year-End Championship at the 2016 National Horse Show on November 1-6 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, while the west conference top finishers will have the chance to compete in the Year-End Championship at the 2016 Las Vegas National Horse Show in Las Vegas, NV, November 15-20.
The SJHF Jumper Classic Series is designed to give amateur-owner and junior riders an opportunity to compete at higher levels and serves as a proving ground for many riders who aspire to someday represent the United States in international competition. Any horse show offering a class that meets all the criteria set forth in the SJHF Jumper Classic Series specifications and has prize money of at least $1,000 is eligible to be part of the Series. The Series are held under Grand Prix rules and specifications.
In the SJHF Jumper Classic Series East Conference, Emanuel Andrade of Aiken, SC took top honors in the Amateur-Owner Division with a total of 900 points aboard Walter 61. Lauren Ward of Brewster, NY, and Malou took second place with a total of 790 points, while Lucas Porter of Bartonville, TX and B Once Z finished in third place with 620 points.
Giavanna Rinaldi of Wayne, IL, won the SJHF East Conference Junior Division with a whopping total of 1,511 points aboard Dulf Van Den Bisschop, while Alexandra Pielet of Highland Park, IL and Helene VE finished in second place with 1,467 points. Brett Burlington of Miami, FL, earned a total of 928 points with Bluf to take third place.
The SJHF Jumper Classic Series West Conference also proved highly competitive with Allyssa Hecht of Del Mar, CA, and Calvatos Z clinching the SJHF Amateur-Owner Division with a total of 520 points for the season. Hot on her heels with 490 points was Hannah Heidegger of Chatsworth, CA, who took second place aboard Ohlala Z, while Ursula Navet of France took third place with a total of 324 points with her mount Cooper V.
Sydney Hutchins of Westlake Village, CA, and Zorlando clinched the SJHF West Conference Junior Division with 450 points, while second placed Shota Soejima of Torrance, CA, earned 345 points throughout the season with Sig Caravaggio. Brian Moggre of Flower Mound, TX, took third place aboard MTM Flutterby with a total of 300 points.
