The Dutch Gert-Jan Bruggink was simply the best in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Oldnburg, Germany. Aboard Andrea (Marome x Voltaire) Bruggink took home the win after already winning a 1m45 class on Friday. In the Jump-off Gert-Jan was the fastest of the in total seven starters. Tobias Woltering, Jan Vinckier, Ferenc Szentirmai and Philipp Wieshaupt, the four first riders of the Jump-Off, recorded faults finishing the shortened track. Marc Bettinger (Loverly Quannan-R) was the first to set a faultless course. But eventually it was Bruggink ho set the fastest time. As he jumped the final oxer Gert-Jan was so sure of his win that he celebrated by jumping with one hand on the reins and one in the air – making sure the audience got value for their the ticket money as he shaved off more than two seconds on Bettinger’s time.
