While Lucy Davis brought home the CSI5* 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix, the Brussels Stephex Masters still had one champion to crown. In the CSI2* Grand Prix a total of five horse-rider combinations returned for the jump-off. Four of them finished faultless as well. Eventually it was Hendrik Denutte who set the fastest time. Aboard the 11 year old Espadon van de Kranenburg (by Kimball), bred by father-in-law Jacques Leterme, he stopped the clock in 35.61 seconds. Appart for the price money Denutte returned home with a nice Audi A1 as well. Denutte's son reacted proud "Daddy you have won a brand new car", up on which the rider got a little emotional. Compatriot Christophe Vanderhasselt followed in a second place with Vitseroel (by Diamant de Semilly). Third place coloured French thanks to Vincent Feuillerac (by Concaro). The top five was completed by Joseph Clayton (Velini) and Jessica Mendoza (Sam de Bacon).
