Lamaze wins first 5* class in Antwerp

The first day of the GCT in Antwerp has come to an end. The last class was a 5* class with fences built up to 1.45 m. Eric Lamaze and Fine Lady 5  (Forsyth x Drosselklang) were the winners. They finished in 62.70 seconds. Best Belgian rider was Gregory Wathelet, he rode Lilly Lordanos (Lordanos x Goldfever) to the second place. They finished in 62.81 seconds. The top 3 was completed by the American Lauren Hough. She and Ohlala crossed the line in 64.79 seconds. Daniel Deusser and Espyrante (Obourg x Paulliac De Meia Lua) finished fourth. Olivier Philippaerts and H&M Challenge van den Begijnakker (Chellano Z x Pauillac De Meia Lua) came in fifth. The rest of the top 7 was all Belgian. Niels Bruynseels rode Gancia de Muze to a sixth place. Last weekend, Joy Verlooy finished second in de GCT Grand Prix of Mexico. Today he and Sunshine finished seventh. Click here for the results
