Mario Stevens tops day one in Sankt Gallen

Aboard the 11-year-old Baloubet (by Balou du Rouet), German Mario Stevens speeded to victory in today's main class in Sankt Gallen. The jumps were set at a height of 1.50m and a total of 58 horse rider combinations took their shot. Home rider, Pius Schwizer finished second with his Belgian Warmbred Living the Dream (by Toulon). The pair finished their jump-off in 39.38 seconds. Compatriot Alain Jufer (Radja d'Artemis) made it to the third spot in this class. The top five was completed by Ludger Beerbaum with the 11-year-old Zinedin (by Guidam) and Edwin Smits with (Copain du Perchet CH). A total of 24 combinations returned for the jump-off. Only ten stayed double clear.
