Marion Ostmeyer tops the second day of the Royal West Canadian Championships

John Anderson's Royal West in Calgary, Alberta, offers more than an exciting international world cup qualifier North American League. Concluding the summer show jumping season the national Royal West Canadian Championships for all show jumpers are held in the Calgary Stampede arena. In yesterday's 1.30m Edmonton-based but representing Germany, Marion Ostmeyer took home the win. Aboard Beau Soleil she finished her jump-off clear in 29.28 seconds. A total of 8 pairs returned for the second round. Red Deer's Femke Courchaine (Dento) followed in a second place. Third spot was for Vanessa Mannix and HHS Cheiro, finishing clear in 30.15 seconds. In the 1.20m a total of 14 out of the 30 horse-rider combinations advanced to the jump-off. Fastest (clear) time was set by Beda Wachter and WH Campari (33.35 seconds). Coming in close the pair was followed by BAily Ritchie Harding (Vienna T) in seconds and Chelsea Walsh (Mercury) in third. The 1.15m crowned Jade Wagner (Bali From Cali) as winner yesterday.
