As second last-to-go home rider Philipp Weishaupt, snatched the victory from yesterday's Europa Preis winner Kent Farrington in the 1.50 Stawag-Preis in Aachen. It did not look nearly as fast as it rode, but with extremely tight turns and taking a stride out on the last line from the wall to a vertical – Weishaupt and Calado 2 (Calando I x Landgraf I) did the seemingly impossible shaving off 0.22 seconds on Farrington's blazing fast round. The home crowd made the roof lift as they saw the time on the score board, and it was a very happy Weishaupt that left the ring. Kent Farrington and Blue Angel (Luidam x Ascendant) had to settle for second, after an incredible fast round over the twelve fence track that included two combinations and several nature-inspired fences. With Weishaupt's performance Pieter Devos was also pushed down to third on Echo D (Orlando x Skippy II), a little less than a second slower than the winner.
