Harrie Smolders and Mark McAuley, the Montreal Diamonds, took the third place with four penalties and 131,5 seconds. The St. Tropez Pirates of Edwina Tops-Alexander and Pieter Devos finished fourth with 4 penalties, Scandinavian Vikings Geir Gulliksen and Leopold van Asten seized the fifth spot with 8 penalties. In the individual ranking the victory went to Germany's Felix Hassmann and Balzaci, a fifteen-year-old stallion by Balou du Rouet. In 62,27 seconds they beat Maher and Winning Good (Winningmood van de Arenberg), who took a second longer in the 1,55m/1,60m-high course. Julien Epaillard piloted Quedge Deenne (Elan de la Cour) to the third place. Britain's John Whitaker and Robert Smith continued the top five.
