Shane Breen closes GCL Monaco with first place in Grand Prix

In the CSI5* 1,60m Grand Prix of Monaco Ireland's Shane Breen won tonight. With his ten-year-old Belgian bred stallion Ipswich vd Wolfsakker (Carembar de Muze) he finished in 35,56 seconds during the jump-off. With that time, he beat Alberto Zorzi and Fair Light vh Heike (Vigo d'Arsouilles). They needed 35,72 seconds. Denis Lynch also claimed the third place for Ireland. With RMF Bella Baloubet (Baloubet du Rouet), he finished in 40,43 seconds. Harrie Smolders and Cas (Indoctro) stopped the clocked in an amazing 34,16 seconds, but four penalties left them in the fourth position. Jérôme Guery jumped Celvin to the fifth spot for Belgium.
