In the beautiful city of Roeser, a 1,45m 3*-class was ridden this evening. And just like at the European Soccer Championships, Switzerland was able to win. It was a Speed and Handiness class. If riders didn't jump a clear round, their amount of penalties was added in seconds. This means that someone who didn't jump a clear round, can still end above a rider who did in the rankings. But Martin Fuchs didn't had to worry about that. He and Sueadwind S Camara (Cassini II) jumped a celar round in 55,81 seconds. It was a very exiting class, because Fuchs was only a little bit faster than the French rider Francois Xavier Boudant. He rode his mare Takine des Etisses (Marlou des Etisses SF)  to the finish line in 55,86 seconds. Very fast, but just not fast enough to beat Fuchs. Third place was for France as well: Alexis Deroubaix and Secret du Pays d'Auge cleared the course in 56,21 seconds. Alix Ragot and Riale Darmenonville (Calvaro) ended on fourth place. Edwin Smits rode the fastest time of all riders, he and Dandiego B Z (Dutch Capitol) jumped the course in 53,53 seconds. Unfortunately Dandiego hit one fence which resulted in 4 extra seconds, brining Smits' time on 57,52 seconds. This performance was good for the fifth place. Click here for the results
