Once again the beautiful Portuguese city Vilamoura is hosting a CSI3* competition this weekend. Today was all in sign of the young horses and there were a few warming up classes as well. In the 1.10-class, four riders entered the ring. It was the German rider Theresa Krapf who finished on first sport with Sterling (Frinkler). She jumped a clear second phase in 45.03 seconds. Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo and Alegria ended on second spot. The jumped a clear second phase as well in 46,42 seconds. The Belgian Clara Lafrut rode the fastest time with Datina, put hit one fence in the second phase. Because of that, they had to settle for third place. The other warming up class was a 1.25m against the clock. It was a very quiet class again, since only four combinations competed. It was Darragh Kenny who signed for victory. He rode Valentino d'Elte (Castronom Z* de Hus) to the finsh line in 78,10 and left the wood untouched. This combination was the only combination that managed to ride a clear round. Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho and Dougal Z (Up To Date) were almost three seconds faster than Kenny, but because of one jumping penalty they had to settle for second place. Francisco Santos Charola and Silvester DH completed the podium. The last class of today was a 1.35m class, ridden against the clock. Once again only four riders started in this class and it was the Belgian Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo who managed to win the class. She and Carteno Z (Caretano Z) got two time penalties, but they were the only combination that left the wood untouched. Flavio Faria Ferreira (Hermes van de Vrombautshoeve) and Clara Lafrut (Eclips) completed the top three. Click here for the results
