To close Thursday (27/08), 32 young horses aged between seven and eight entered the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour Opening over 1.35 m. These great hopes for the future of the elite of show jumping delivered impressive performances. Particularly outstanding here was an eight-year-old mare bred in France: Tina de l’Yserand, a daughter of Allegreto, ridden by Pius Schwizer (SUI), demonstrated great command and capability on the course and jumped to first place in an unblemished 63.94 seconds. “Tina is a very special horse. Even though she’s already eight years old, she’s still very short of experience for that age. I’m still cautious entering her into competition, because I’m convinced that we can still achieve a great deal in the future.” said a visibly emotional professional at the award ceremony. Also eight years old, Hanoverian Arkol was sired by the famous stallion Argentinus and was originally presented by William Whitaker (GBR) at the GLOCK’s Youngster Tour. The duo completed the course in 64.90 seconds, thereby taking second place ahead of Lorenzo de Luca (ITA), riding seven-year-old BWP mare Iluna (0/65.99). CLICK HERE FOR THE RESULTS
