Top riders open this weeks HITS Saugerties under the sun

This week the HITS saugerties kicked off with a $5,000 Brook Ledge Open Welcome. The jumps were set at a height of 1.40m and it was Ronan McGuigan and his own Capall Zidane who rode to victory, claiming the $1,500 first prize. Laura Chapot and her mother's Umberto followed in second place. The third spot was for former Olympian Jill Henselwood and Quidam Blue. Still ranked but out of the stage were Will Simpson (The Dude), Julie Welles and Stephex Stable's Twan, Kristen Bumpus (Cupid), upcoming Canadian talent Jaclyn Duff (Stakkarus) and Kirsten Coe with Heros de Papignies who completed the top eight. In the Level 6 Mountain Horse Jumper, 1.30m it was Heather Caristo-Williams with Cosmopolitan 30 who claimed the first victory. The stage was completed by Jimmy Torano (Bentley) and Matthew Metell (Cyon Z). 10 cm lower (1.20m) it was Grace Christerson and MTM BFF riding to the first spot. Devin Ryan (Didam) ended runner-up while David Jennings (Frisco) ended third.
