Alex Hua Tian takes over the lead from Christopher Burton at first day Military Boekelo

The first dressage day on the Military Boekelo ended with a surprising twist. The Australian Christopher Burton started by taking a promising lead riding Quality Purdey and 39.30 penalty points. However the Chinese rider Alex Hua Tian took over the lead with a fantastic dressage on his Hannoveraan Don Geniro (v. Don Kennedy); ending with a total of 37.30 penalty points. The German Julia Mestern, who already won two races in Boekelo, ended third with her Grand Prix IWEST totaling 39.60 penalty points. The other riders in the top five are the French Aurelien Leroy with Seashore Spring and 41.10 penalty points and Astier Nicolas with Vinci de la Vigne also with 41.10 penalty points. Andreas Dibowski, representing Germany, showed a beautiful dressage with FRH Corrida and finished sixth with 41.40 penalty points.
