Jonty Evans 'sort of' back in the saddle during his rehabilitation

Irish eventingrider Jonty Evans is making great process in his rehabilitation. He might not yet be ready to take on the three star competition, but he is definitely well on his way. This summer he had a bad fall in the CCI3* of the Tattersalls International Horse Trials. At the second element of the water jump he was launched out of his saddle when Cooley Rorkes Drift (Courage II) was stuck with one leg on the jump. He was immediately taken to hospital. Following several weeks in a coma it became known that he had endured a brain injury. Slowly his condition improved with Jonty taking his first steps again after a few months. The 46 year old rider has now shared another big step to his rehabilitation on his Facebook. He stated "I am hugely grateful to everyone who has helped me get this far, and i'm sure there's a lot further to go".
