The first Nations Cup of the new eventing season in Western Europe, in Fontainebleau, was won by the French team. 3 riders representing the tricolor ended in the top 5, assuring a big andvantage on the Australian team ending second. Great-Britain completed the stage, ending third. The individual victory was for Michael Jung with La Biosthetique-Sam. Christopher Burton, riding for Australia, ended in fourth place with TS Jamaimo.
