Longines Spring Classic of Flanders changes schedule for Nation Cup

From April 26 until April 30 the Longines Spring Classic of Flanders will be organized on the grounds of the Postelmans family in Lummen. The biggest change in the program is that we start with the CISO5*. This is a guarantee that the Derby arena (grass) is in optimal condition at the start of the CISO5*. The Spring Tour Lummen starts in the same weekend and will last three weekends. The Belgian championship for seven years old horses will take place during the last Spring tour from 9 - 15 May 2017. The Garden arena, last year partly grass and sand, is now a brand new sand arena of 105 by 65 meter. The FEI Nations Cup in Lummen is the first on European soil and is part of Europe Division 1. Unfortunately, Belgium relegated to Europe Division 2, but is allowed to participate in Lummen. Of course our riders can’t earn points. The teams of Germany, Sweden, France, Italy and Spain will ride for points in Lummen. The following countries will participate to the FEI Nations Cup: Belgium Germany France Ireland Italy Spain Switzerland Sweden Highlights of the Longines Spring Classic of Flanders are the FEI Nations Cup of Belgium on Friday, the Derby of Flanders - Memorial Nick Motmans on Saturday and the Longines Grand Prix on Sunday.
