On his personal social media, Alex Granato has announced the sporting retirement of his 17-year-old horse, Carlchen W (Chacco-Blue x Continue). The duo last competed internationally in 2023.
During their career, the pair achieved notable success, including winning the bronze team medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. They also claimed victory in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Traverse City in 2021 and represented the United States at the 2018 Nations Cup Final.
