Nine combinations qualified for the jump-off of the 1.60m Grand Prix. It proved to be a very difficult jump-off in this first LGCT Grand Prix of the year.

"It was a very challenging jump-off," said Niels Bruynseels. "For this Grand Prix, you really need to be an experienced combination..."

And that was evident with Abdel Saïd, who took the lead halfway through the jump-off. No one was able to beat Saïd's time of 38.24 seconds. The Belgian rider ultimately secured victory in the saddle of the 12-year-old mare Bonne Amie (Landriese).

"For Abdel, this was undoubtedly a goal," continued Niels Bruynseels. "You can tell he worked towards this Grand Prix. He had the confidence to take the necessary risks after showing good form in recent weeks!"

Saïd and his 12-year-old mare stayed ahead of Daniel Deusser, who rode the 14-year-old KWPN gelding Gangster v/h Noddevelt (Eldorado vd Zeshoek) to second place with a time of 39.52 seconds. Abdulrahman Alrajhi and Ventago (Van Helsing) completed the top three.

Just outside the podium, Marcus Ehning finished fourth with Coolio 42 (Casalito), delivering a faultless round. Last to start, Gerfried Puck secured fifth place. Riding Equitron NAxcel V (Balou du Rouet), he knocked down the first obstacle but managed to finish in the top five on time.
