Abdullah Alsharbatly and Fiumicino van de Kalevallei conquer CSI4* 1.55m Riyadh Grand Prix!

After having previously won the GP qualifier, Abdullah Alsharbatly ultimately triumphed in front of his home crowd. Together with Jur Vrieling's former SBS-ridden stallion, Fiumicino van de Kalevallei (Plot Blue), Alsharbatly finished well under the 36-second time limit.

Alsharbatly and the stallion, bred by Gert de Sloover, stayed nearly a second ahead of his compatriot, Khaled Almobty, and the 10-year-old KWPN stallion, Jaguar King WD (VDL Zirocco Blue). Almobty and the stallion (bred by W. Dekker) were followed by Austrian rider, Gerfried Puck, with the BWP stallion, Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet).

Just outside the top three finished Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano with the 11-year-old BWP stallion, Nikolaj de Music. Gaudiano and the Kannan son, bred by Walter Lelie, relegated Ioli Mytilinaiou with La Perla vd Heffinck (Cooper vd Heffinck) to fifth place.
