During the Northern Equestrian Festival, the second qualifier for the Grand Prix took centre stage in the CSIO3* FENDT XL Tour. In the 1.50m class, eleven combinations secured a place in the jump-off. Belgium made a strong impression, claiming not only the victory but also another top-five finish.
The win went to Brecht Goossens aboard Alaska Z (Asca Z). The Belgian pair remained faultless in both the first round and the jump-off, producing a fast jump-off round in 35.85 seconds. With that performance, Goossens convincingly stayed ahead of the German competition.
The closest challenger was Pheline Ahlmann with Carlton SR (Cascadello). The German duo also delivered a double clear performance but needed slightly more time, crossing the finish in 37.24 seconds. Fellow German rider Magnus Schmidt followed in third place aboard Carl Gustav 7 (Comme Il Faut) after a faultless jump-off in 37.46 seconds.
Fourth place also had a Belgian touch thanks to Roy van Beek and Cavoiro-H Old (Casallco). The pair stayed clear in both rounds and stopped the clock in 39.43 seconds.
The top five was completed by Simone Hansen Scherff aboard Soendervangs Matilde (Catoki). The pair picked up two time penalties in the jump-off and finished in 41.84 seconds.
