Saturday’s Polaris EY Cup Grand Prix delivered an exciting conclusion in the CSIU25 1.45m class, where only a handful of riders advanced to the jump-off. With 28 starters on the entry list, and only 4 returning for the jump-off, the competition showcased some of Europe’s most promising young talents,
Jone Illi secured the win aboard Chadera Rouge PS after producing two faultless rounds (Chaccoon Blue). The Finnish rider stopped the clock in 42.33 seconds in the jump-off, setting the fastest time of the class. Denmark’s Frida Munk Lassen followed closely behind with Kirkelodgaards Ci Ci Chopin DWB (Ci Ci Senjor Ask). She also delivered a double clear performance but crossed the finish line in 43.61 seconds, finishing second.
Third place went to Germany’s Magnus Schmidt with Lacon 8 (Latour VDM). Although the pair picked up four penalties in the jump-off, their quick time of 43.33 seconds was enough to remain on the podium. Magdalena Piksa took fourth place with Marie Goldlavsca (Durango VDL) after also incurring four faults in the deciding round, stopping the clock in 43.82 seconds.
The top five was completed by Norway’s Siri Endresen aboard Just Especiale (Cardento). The combination left all the rails up in the opening round but collected one time penalty after finishing in 78.64 seconds.
