German rider Christian Kukuk has added a new horse to his string. Through Instagram, he announced that Carlo Colesto has joined his stable.
The eleven-year-old Westphalian gelding, a son of Colestus out of a Lancado mare, was previously ridden by his compatriot Lara Wittlings, who is also the horse’s owner. Under her saddle, Carlo Colesto competed internationally up to 1.45m level at CSI2* and CSI3* competitions.
The chestnut gelding has already made his first appearance with Kukuk at the Wellington Equestrian Festival, where the pair jumped a clear round over a 1.35m course.
In the autumn of 2024, Carlo Colesto also competed at the CSI2* in Lier under Qatar’s Bassem Mohammed.
