This week, CSI5* action takes center stage in Lexington, USA. At the Split Rock Jumping Tour, the CSI5* 1.45m opening class was the highlight on Wednesday. Conor Swail claimed victory in that class with his trusted mare My Lady Lavista (Mylord Carthago x Levisto Z).
In this Two-Phase 1.45m class, Swail narrowly edged out Luis Fernando Larrazabal and the Belgian-bred Belle de Muze (Ponsee V x Lando). This pair had won last week in Wellington. The entire top three finished within less than a second of each other.
Riding in front of a home crowd, Alex Matz completed the top three with Cashew CR (Cassini II x Quinar). This pair stayed ahead of Darragh Kenny and the Dutch-bred Kannan mare, Lightning.
The top five of this CSI5* opening class was rounded out by Lillie Keenan and Opium JW van de Moerhoeve TN (Kannan GFE).
