The first class at the Ratina Z Arena in Lanaken today was the Troosting for 7-year-old horses. 89 participants took part, but only a third managed to clear the 14 obstacles without faults within the time limit.
Ellen Zwijnenberg and N-Special de Fony-Bo (I'm Special de Muze) posted by far the fastest time. They raced to victory in 58.02 seconds. The silver medal went to Olivier Philippaerts in 60.25 seconds. He saddled Cornet King JS (Cornet Obolensky) for the class. Steven Vermeir rode Crazy Music Royal Z (Clarimo ASK) to third place in 60.33 seconds.
Leo Lamb finished just off the podium on the back of Nalani (Starsky). The duo crossed the finish line in 60.52 seconds. The last place in the top 5 ultimately went to Macgyver 5 (Million Dollar) under the saddle of Björn Behrend with a time of 60.79 seconds.
